We’ll always act in your best interests to find finance suitable to the requirements you’ve disclosed to us. When the preferred option has been agreed, we will provide you with information about the finance to ensure you understand your responsibilities and commitments before proceeding.
At CVF, we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
This Policy explains when and why we collect personal information about people who partner with CVP Financial Services, how we use it, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.
We may change this Policy from time to time so please check with us occasionally to ensure that you’re happy with any changes. By using our services, you’re agreeing to be bound by this Policy.
Any questions regarding this Policy and our privacy practices should be sent by email to gdpr@cvf.com or by writing to The Data Protection Officer, CVF, 23 Shield Drive, West Cross Industrial Estate, Brentford, Middlesex TW8 9EX. Alternatively, you can telephone 0208 380 7400.

As such we help our business customers to afford the equipment.
Creative Vision Finance Limited is a registered company (no. 13073481). The registered address is 23 Shield Drive, West Cross Industrial Park, Brentford, Middlesex TW8 9EX.
When you apply to open an account with CVF, we need to gather information about you and your personal circumstances including ID documents, bank details, details of your income and other information as required to comply with legal or regulatory requirements.
We search our own and external sources to gather information:
The information you provide is subject to the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 (“Data Protection Legislation”). For the purposes of this legislation, Creative Vision Finance Limited is the data controller.
By signing this document you consent to CVF or any associated company processing, both electronically and manually, your personal data for the purposes of provision of products and services, credit and AML (anti money laundering) risk assessment, fulfilling any contract with you, assessing ongoing credit performance, recoveries, collections, insurance administration, profiling for marketing purposes, market research and product development, statistical analysis, permitted marketing, fraud prevention and detection, and otherwise as necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations and/or codes of practice or where it is in our legitimate interests.
It may include transferring personal data to other companies involved in the provision of services to us including back up, IT and server hosting providers, lenders or statutory, governmental or regulatory bodies, to solicitors and/or other debt collection agencies for debt collection purposes, and to any third party that acquires, or is interested in acquiring, all or part of the company’s assets or shares, or that succeeds the company in carrying on all or a part of its business, whether by merger, acquisition, reorganisation or otherwise.
When transferring information to third party service providers, we disclose only the personal information necessary to deliver the service and we have a contract in place that requires them to keep your information secure and not to use it for their own direct marketing purposes. We won’t release your information to third parties beyond the CVF Network for them to use for their own direct marketing purposes, unless you have requested us to do so, or we are required to do so by law (for example by a court order) or for the purposes of preventing fraud or other crime.
Information on applications will be sent to CRAs and will be recorded by them, including information on your business and its proprietors, the agreement you have with us, the payments you make under it, any default or failure to keep its terms, and any change of name and address. CRAs may create a record of the name and address of your business and its proprietors if there is not one already. Where you borrow from us, we will give details of your accounts and how you manage them to CRAs.
If your borrowing with CVF is not repaid in full and on time, CRAs will record the outstanding debt. This information may be supplied to other organisations by CRAs and FPAs to perform similar checks and to trace your whereabouts and recover outstanding debts.
We normally retain personal data for a period of six years from the last date on which we have a financial arrangement in place with you unless we need to vary this for good operational or commercial reasons or in order to meet other legal obligations. We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfil our statutory obligations (e.g. HMRC duties).
Regardless of whether your application with CVF is successful, the credit reference agency will place a record of our search on your credit file. This record (but not our name) will be seen by other organisations when you apply for credit in the future. Large numbers of applications within a short time period could detrimentally affect your ability to obtain credit.
If we suspect the information provided to us is deliberately inaccurate or we suspect identity fraud, we will record this and may also pass this information to FPAs and other organisations involved in crime and fraud prevention.
You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from us. If you do not want to receive direct marketing communications from us about our products, services, events, promotions and news, you can select your choices by ticking the relevant boxes situated on the form on which we collect your information.
We will not contact you for marketing purposes by email, phone or text message unless you have given your prior consent. We will not contact you for marketing purposes by post if you have indicated that you do not wish to be contacted. You can change your marketing preferences at any time by contacting us by email: gdpr@cvf.com or by telephone: +44 (0)208 380 7400.
The accuracy of your information is important to us. We’re working on ways to make it easier for you to review and correct the information that we hold about you. In the meantime, if you change email address or any of the other information we hold is inaccurate or out of date, please email us at gdpr@cvf.com, update your online account profile directly, speak with your Account Manager over the phone or write to Data Protection Officer, CVF, 23 Shield Drive, West Cross Industrial Estate, Brentford, Middlesex TW8 9EX.
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information CVF holds about you and we will provide this information free of charge, provided your request is fair and reasonable (we may charge £10 for information requests that are deemed repetitive, unreasonable or onerous).
When you give us personal information, we take steps to ensure that it’s treated securely. We don’t store any credit or debit card details (we are PCI DSS accredited) and we do our utmost to protect all other details (including encryption and protection with 256 bit SSL encryption – when you are on a secure page, a lock icon will appear in web browsers).
Non sensitive details (your email address etc.) are transmitted normally over the internet, and this can never be guaranteed to be 100 % secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your information, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems. Where we have given (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our websites, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. Please do not share your password with anyone.
We may analyse your personal information to create a profile of your interests and preferences so that we can contact you with information relevant to you. We may make use of additional information about you when it is available from external sources to help us do this effectively. We may also use your personal information to detect and reduce fraud and credit risk (as outlined in 1.6).
Like many other websites, the CVF website uses cookies. Cookies are small pieces of information sent by an organisation to your computer and stored on your hard drive to allow that website to recognise you when you visit. They collect statistical data about your browsing actions and patterns and do not identify you as an individual. For example, we use cookies to store your country preference. This helps us to improve our website and deliver a better, more personalised service.
It is possible to switch off cookies by setting your browser preferences. For more information on how to switch off cookies on your computer, visit our full cookies policy. Turning cookies off may result in a loss of functionality when using our website.
We do not knowingly provide services to customers under the age of 16. It is a requirement of business that all CVF customers are over the age of 16.
As part of the services offered to you through this website, the information which you provide to us may be transferred to countries outside the European Union. These countries may not have similar data protection laws to the UK. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. If we transfer your information outside the EU in this way, we will take steps to ensure that appropriate security measures are taken with the aim of ensuring that your privacy rights continue to be protected as outlined in this Policy.
If you use our services while you are outside the EU, your information may be transferred outside the EU in order to provide you with those services.
Our website may also use a session recording service. CVF liaises with Google and Hotjar, who have developed products that are capable of recording mouse clicks, mouse movements, page scrolling and any text keyed into website forms. The information collected does not include bank details or any sensitive personal data. Anonymised session data generated during such visits may be used for aggregated and statistical reporting by Google and Hotjar.
We keep this Policy under regular review. This Policy was last updated in August 2025.
